Describe a sound, then play it on a tiny sampler.

2G is a sampler from Scrap Brain Audio, drawn like an early-2000s phone. Neural Synthesis turns a text description into a short sample you can trim, loop, and play from a keyboard. You can also load your own WAV, AIFF, FLAC, or MP3, within the size and length on the page, and play that offline. Four voices share a bypassable 16 kHz speaker model. It installs on Windows and macOS as a plugin and as a standalone app.
Download the instrument and either type a sound or drop in a short file. Pick a loop, set the attack and tone, and play it. Use generation only for a new sound. An imported sample does not need a credit.
. Version 1.0.4 on the product-page changelog.
On 29 Oct 2026 the download page listed the instrument as free and a Studio plan at $10 a month. It also said monthly free generation credits are for the first 200 users, then a one-time allowance. Generation needs a connection. The page says generated sounds are for your music and not for resale as a sample library. No sound was generated for this profile.
